My daughter's clock - finished

As promised earlier today, here is the finished clock apart from varnishing and assembling the time piece and clock hands which will be black.

  2. I'm glad you like it, stapeliad! The clock is around 12" diameter and will be for my daughter's bedroom wall. The clock mechanism can be bought as a kit plus there are lots of different types of clock hands to choose from also. I just sit the mechanism at the back and feed the spine through the clock centre and screw on the nut. Then, it's simply a matter of attaching the clock hands in order of the hour hand first, then the minute hand and lastly, the second hand. Easy-peasy! :)

  3. Am looking forward to seeing this completely done Serena. Do you have access to a variety of hands, or are you limited.? Either way, it'll be great. Please share with geebees all you're doing, they will love to see everything...

  4. Yes, I'm hoping to place an order with the wholesaler this week. My daughter wants plain, black clock hands which I think will be perfect. You read my mind as I'm just about to send through a pic of the clock and the baby plaque to GBs. :)
