EDM Challenge # 1 - Draw a shoe

Shoe - © Serena Lewis

I have been wanting to improve on my drawing skills for some time now so, to find some motivation, I recently joined a Sketch/Drawing group online called Every Day Matters. I joined at Challenge Number 117 so I certainly have some catching up to do and, while I don't plan to do them in numerical order, I do plan to do them all eventually. Today, I started with challenge # 1.

  4. What nice artwork you make, Serena! I looked through your previous entries and really liked the strong contrasts in color of both your zebra and the zen-like clock!

  13. Hi Serena, I just thought I'd chime in to say welcome to the EDM group, too! I joined about four months ago and have had great fun ever since (however, I'm nowhere near caught up--but that's one of the beauties of the group--there's no pressure about that; basically you can go at your own pace and draw whatever you like--there's bound to be a challenge that's close!) . . .
Anyway, I love your shoe, looks just perfect!

  17. I'm sure you would enjoy the challenges, stapeliad. It's quite a busy group with lots of mail but everyone seems really lovely and helpful. A few of the member make their own sketchbook journals which is something I wouldn't mind having a go at myself one day. :)
