A quick sketch.....

I know, silly me!  It was a reflex action and I learned that my stay sharp knife was indeed....sharp.
This happened on Monday and, with it being in an awkward spot, the wound is still sore and tender.
Ah well......it could have been worse and my lesson IS learned.

Love, light and peace

  3. I do things like that all the time. You'd think I'd learn my lesson, but no, I don't seem to. It is such a reflex to try and catch something you drop. Just the other day I didn't catch something that I dropped, instead I accidently stabbed myself with my very sharp-pointy-nosed scissors. My finger was sore for days. Luckily, it was no worse than it was. We both need to be more careful, I guess! And if you learned your lesson, that's great. Apparently, i still have some learning to do!

  5. Ooh, Ow! I know that hurt. You'll soon learn to jump out of the way when you drop a knife!

  10. OMG!! *shudder* I am so leery of knives or anything sharp. Too many accidents over my lifetime--hehe! That sure does look like it is in a difficult spot to heal. I'm glad you didn't need stitches. Oh--be so careful with those artistic, loving hands of yours. Sending healing energy your way. :):)

  16. ooh, ouch... make me go all twingly thinking about it...but, know exactly how that happens. Kind of like dropping the pickle jar and sticking out your foot to stop it before it hits the floor.....ohhhh... man.... that hurts..... and if you're lucky... you don't actually break your foot....

  17. Thanks for all the sympathy.....it sure did hurt.

Vee, I have put my foot out to stop a heavy jar falling too and, yes, definitely a big OUCH on that score too.

Eden, it was my dominant hand unfortunately and was tender for a few days considering my hands are always in and out of water....harder to dry out and heal. Today (Sat. 3rd Apr) was the first day it felt much better.

  18. That looks really painful, but a Stay Sharp knife obviously can't keep you from drawing!

  20. Yikes, Serena! It even hurts to look at. I did something to my hand in almost exactly this position a few years ago, something quite dumb involving a butterknife, some frozen wax, and glass, and it is a sensitive spot on the hand, I know from experience. :( Hope it's getting better every day!
