Scribble Picnic - Picket Fence

Hi everyone,

I'm a tad late to the picnic this week. The prompt was PICKET FENCE and a work-in-progress is all I have to show for it.  It's been a busy week.

So here are my efforts so far — Two Superb Fairy Wrens on a picket fence. They are done in my Strathmore Tan paper sketchbook with pen and white coloured pencil at this stage. More to come at a later date...

I am having a wisdom tooth extracted tomorrow. Wish me luck...I've never had a wisdom tooth out before so I'm a little nervous.

  1. They are such sweet birdies - look just like my garden birds!
Love the fence - and perhaps you'll share it again if you add more to what is already a great rendition for the theme this week.
Hope so much all goes well with your tooth extraction dear Serena - dental work is never fun is it!

  2. Eeegad...dental work...I had all 4 taken out in my 20's, mind you, they were impacted and I have a small mouth so it was necessary. Good luck with that!!! Trust me, getting them out DOES NOT make you LESS wise lol! ;) Your piece is very nice Serena, it makes me think of the summer. :)

    1. Thanks, Rain.

Thankfully, this particular wisdom tooth was fully erupted from under the gum so an easier extraction. I still have one partially erupted and two still under the gum. The ex-girlfriends of one of my sons had all four of her wisdom teeth removed under a general anaesthetic — they were impacted and stitches were required. I remember she was in a lot of pain for the first ten days, poor thing. OH, and yes, I can agree because I don't feel any less wise. hehe

Yes, the extraction went really well — just dealing with the healing process now.
