Today, November 11th, we stood silent for one minute at 11:00AM as a mark of respect to our fallen soldiers. I felt overwhelmed with emotion, as I always do, when I hear The Last Post played by bugle. LEST WE FORGET ~
Thanks for taking the time to do this post to honor soldiers. It makes it a bit easier to accept my son's decision knowing that so many people respect and admire him for it.
Hi Rhonda, it's the least I can do. Our soldiers put their lives on the line under the harshest of conditions on a daily basis. Whether people are for war, or against war, our soldiers deserve our support and gratitude. Well wishes to Ian for his road ahead.
Quite an awesome tradition that your country has much like mine. It is amazing how much so many have given so freely to give us freedom.
ReplyDeleteVery true, Boyd ~
