It seemed like I had visitors dropping in all day yesterday so I didn't get a chance to work on the Egret until last night. More to do yet but should hopefully finish it at the next sitting.
Wonderful work in progess. Look forward to seeing it move along. What are you using: colored pencil, pastel, paint. Hard to tell but lovely all the same. Have a wonderful holiday!
Thanks, Rhonda! :) I laid down a rough sketch with coloured pencils and now I've moved over to my acrylics. I'm very much a novice when it comes to coloured pencils but I'm hoping to improve on that. Your awesome work in coloured pencil inspires me to keep trying.
This is looking gorgeous already, Serena. Is that an acrylic or pastel?
Serena, as my emails aren't working at the moment (server problem), I'd like to wish you and your family a wonderful Christmas & a very happy & healthy 2008!
Also thank you so much for your friendship these past few months, which I truly treasure:) I hope I can meet up with you for a coffee sometime in the New Year, perhaps at South Bank:)?
Thanks, Maria! I'm so happy we 'met' on the net too and it would be fabulous if we could manage to meet up for a cuppa in the New Year. I hope everything went well with Nick for Uni.
Thank you, Becky. I've been so busy with Aaron's birthday, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, visitors and other stuff that I haven't done any more to the egret yet but, hopefully, it won't be too long before I can get back to it.
Thanks, Kate, and I hope you had a lovely Christmas too.
Thanks, J! I hope you have a wonderful holiday too.
Thanks, Kathy. I hope you had a wonderful Christmas too.

Dear Serena, your great egret looks wonderful! He is glowing in the dark in a very graceful way. And this is an art card (2,5" x 3,5")? So much detail on such a small size? Even mor amazing to me :)!
Serena, It's absolutely gorgeous. I love the purple tone behind him, it just makes him shine.....Ro
