I'm a lucky girl!

This is the beach bag that Michelle and Alex bought for me
a few years ago but, being that I rarely get to the beach,
I find it perfect for holding my crochet projects.
I love it because it's nice and spacious!

Well, a few weeks ago, I received a lovely gift by mail
The colours are so ME!!

 Here it is rolled out.
Isn't it lovely?!!

It's a crochet hook holder/roll
and I LOVE IT!
It's beautifully sewn and just perfect!!

It could be used for pens or brushes too I guess but
I was in dire need of a crochet hook holder because, up until now,
I'd been using a small plastic bag to hold my crochet hooks.
How on Earth did Tracy know this was just what I needed?

My crochet hooks are now dressed in style and LOVIN' it!

Thanks so much for such a lovely and thoughtful gift, Tracy.
It made my day!

By the way, Tracy creates such beautiful things, and
you can check out her online store HERE.

I am also the proud owner of one of her necklaces too which
I bought a couple of years back.

I've been quite busy this past week but will fill you in more in the next post.

    1. ps I see that you have quite a selection of crochet hooks, maybe I should invest a few more since I only have the one and doing some crochet? mine is a size 6.00 which size is the best of rjust some average crochet, as the size I have seems a little large?

    2. Hi Krissie,

My eyes are doing much better now that I have my new prescription glasses, thanks. I agree, Tracy's posts are very uplifting. I love her caring, gentle nature....it always shines through.

Re. crochet hooks - To give you an idea, I work my ripple blankets using 8 ply wool with a 4.00 crochet hook which I find a perfect combination. Size 6.00 would be a bit big for 8 ply wool but, then again, it all depends on the effect you're after.

Have a lovely week ~ xo

    3. thanks for that, I think I'll get a size 4 then, and a 5 if there is one and then do some experimenting!

    4. Yep, size 4.50 or even a 5, though I must admit I wouldn't use a 5 with 8 ply wool for my blankets as I like a more close-knit weave. As I said though, it all depends on your own personal tastes and the effect you want.

  2. So very glad you're happy with the crochet hook roll, Serena! I just KNEW those were your colors & prints when I came across those in my fabric stash. ;o) And you know, making this one turned out so well, I made a crochet hook roll for myself too...LOL! The size is good. I've also made another one for toting pencils..works great for these too.. So VERY sweet of you to feature my art and work, Serena. You've made such a beautiful post with all this... I am humbled. :o) ((LOVE & HUGS))

  4. Another crocheter! That's a gorgeous bag and I love the crochet hook roll. I may have to look for one of those. I still keep mine in a plastic pouch but have expanded my collection so now they don't all fit. It does get difficult to keep track of all those hooks!

    1. OH yes, I LOVE to crochet! I smile with appreciation every time I look at my crochet hook roll. I'm not sure if Tracy makes them to sell or, if not, you could try Etsy. :)

  7. What a great crochet hook holder. I personally would use it for brushes since I don't crochet. Hi Serena, how are you dear girl? Sorry I haven't been around much, doesn't mean you don't cross my mind from time to time. Hope all is well with you and your not getting your migraines. Thx for stopping by my blog. The soup was good.:) Take care and I'm off to visit a few other blogs while I have time .

    1. I think it would be great for brushes too. I'm doing well thanks, Gloria. I still get the occasional migraine but not nearly as much as I used to. No worries, I totally understand as I've had trouble finding time to visit blogs myself over the past couple of months. xo

  9. That is a pretty crochet holder. Mine can be found in tin cans next to the loveseat where I sit. At least that's where I try to remember to put them when they aren't in use. :) Have a great rest of the week. Tammy

    1. Tracy certainly did pick perfect colours for me. Sorry to hear you've been down with flu/bronchitis....three weeks is too long. My asthma has been acting up a bit over the past week as we've been having some cool mornings and nights....a sign that winter is on the way. xo
