Sketchbook: Every Day Matters challenges

A quick post for today...

I managed a few pen and watercolour sketches this week

more Every Day Matters challenges

#2 - Draw a Lamp
This lamp has been through quite a few changes over the years
to fit in with chosen colours and themes of the moment.
A coat of paint and a change in lamp shade
has really worked some magic over the years.

#3 - Draw a wallet
For a while now,
I have kept all my important cards in an RFID card holder
so I was able to downsize my wallet to a simple purse-style.
Much more convenient.

#3 - Draw a mug
My regular mug is quite plain
so I opted to draw my owl mug.

I'm linking up with Sunday Sketches from England this week.

I LOVE your sketches. Your coffee cup has to top the three of them. Like the splash of pink to the lampshade and the wallet. It added a nice pop to the sketches. You are really working hard with wonderful pieces as the result. genie

I don't think I've ever seen a sketch by you i did't like - and my favorite today is the mug! But i love all of them.

Thanks, Julie! I love the EDM prompts because my biggest procrastination is deciding what to actually draw. The prompts keep me more focused. :)

Thanks, Sue. Funnily enough, the mug was my least favourite but it seems to be the most liked judging from all the comments. hehe

Thanks, Juana! The flat wicker-look on the lampshade was tricky for sure. :)

Awwwwwww, thanks for your sweet comment, Christine. :)

Thanks, Jen....going by everyone's comments, the mug seems to be the winner yet it was my least favourite. hehe

Thanks, Rita. I love the EDM prompts for those times when I procrastinate over what to sketch.

Lovely little paintings! It's great that you're keeping them all in one book to look back on. I often find that I can remember what I was doing/listening to when I look back at my old drawings - kind of like a diary! x

Great post, Mum! I love your sketches. The lamp, wallet and cup all look great! I always love seeing what you sketch or paint, you are great! Doing what you do with your cards also sound great, it would make things easier to find in your wallet, and more convenient.

Love,
Brad xoxo

Thanks, Shashi! The detail on the lamp shade was a little tricky. :)

Thanks, Neesie! You have amazing talent too. :)

Thanks, Clare! I agree, they are great to look back on and trigger memories. My sketchbooks are my illustrated journals and I usually fill the blank areas with words about the day I had or something else important for that day. :)

Thanks, Brad! I'm glad you like them.

Love Mum xo
