And some wood ducks enjoyed the park too
WOW! Just look at all those tadpoles!

You can see where this tree's roots are now exposed due to the soil has been washed away when the river rises during heavy rain periods
And I even managed a quick ink sketch
It was so relaxing that we all felt like a nap when we got back home. Instead, we watched the movie, Signs, starring Mel Gibson and Joaquin Phoenix.

Lovely quiet place it looks like. Love the tadpoles...haven't seen any in so long in that kind of setting. Your sketch is really nice.
That tree is huge! The picture of the tadpoles reminded me of growing up next to Moore Lake and seeing masses of tadpoles just like that!! Nice memories. What a beautiful park to spend some peaceful time. :)

It had been quite a while since we had a family day trip so I truly had a lovely and relaxing day at that beautiful spot. :)
It was the perfect spot, Tammy! We could have done without the flies but, out country where there's lots of cattle about, it was too be expected.
