Medium and Dean Koontz

I managed a couple more sketches over the past couple of days....I'm very pleased with the dent I'm making in the Every Day Matters challenges.

EDM challenge #51 - Draw you TV AND your favourite TV show on the screen

My favourite TV show would have to be Medium and I'm very excited that tonight (Thursday) is the start of a new season! I LOVE all the paranormal/psychic stuff!

EDM challenge #27 - Draw a book

Pigma Micron pen, coloured pencil and graphite in A5 sketchbook

The text on the journal page speaks for itself. I AM a huge fan of Dean Koontz novels and have been since my early twenties.

WATCHERS - They escape from a secret government laboratory: two mutant creatures, both changed utterly from the animals they once were. And no one who encounters them will ever be the same again:

A lonely widower; a ruthless assassin; a beautiful woman; a government agent.

Drawn together in a deadly hunt, all four are inexorably propelled towards a confrontation with an evil beyond human imagining.

Love, light and peace

  3. Hi Serena, I just love your drawings! you are so talented. I am a fan of the paranormal shows too, I watch Ghost Whisperer and Medium, I used to get the channels that had Paranormal State and Ghost Hunters, but we cut back. My husband is not a fan, but will sit through them with me anyway ( great guy!).

  7. Again....Great sketches. I have only watched Medium a few times. My husband has read all Koontz' books. I might have tried one years ago and found him good. I use to read all the time before the Internet came into being. Now not very much.

  8. I love Medium, too! Have also watched from the beginning. You are behind in Australia, but I won't reveal a thing--hehe! I was upset they were going to cancel it--but another network bought it. I hope that move doesn't change the show.

I love your sketchbook pages--cool TV! I know I have read some Koontz, but I haven't been an avid follower. Mainly because when I can afford to buy books I have usually been buying art books (or DVDs) the last few years--hehe! People have lent me his books to read, tho, and I remember I liked them. Did they make a movie out of Watchers?

  11. Hi! I watch Medium sometimes. It is based here in Az.
Love psychic stuff. Haven't read any Dean Koontz lately but enjoyed several of his books in the past.
I like how your drawings depict what you're up to... so great too Serena.

  13. Oh, my gosh, Serena, I used to *love* that show. Your journaled description has me longing to catch up. Perhaps back seasons are available on Netflix? I wonder...

We quit television over a year ago, and while it has been a wonderful blessing in many ways (more time, less stress, a larger entertainment budget for trips and films and other things, paradoxically both more silence and more music in my life), there have been some drawbacks. I particularly miss dishing about my favorite shows with friends. :(

  16. Darling, I stumbled upon your blog and found a sad post. As a mother of two, I understand what you are going through. Life does have difficulties and some are truly painful. I will include both you and your daughter in my special prayer tonight.

Wishing you the best, your newest follower.

    Duchess.

  17. We like Medium, too, but somehow our DVR stopped recording it so we haven't watched for a long time. Must fix that situation!
