ReplyDeleteI've loved so many of your sketches, but the Purple Swamp Hen is just incredible. Thank you so much for sharing your sketches.
ReplyDeletehi! i'm eleni from greece! thank you so much for being a follower of my blog and for your nice words! your pages are like poem, romantic and nostalgic somehow! i love them!!!!!!!i had seen them on flickr but i did know that you had a blog! well, very nice surprise!
ReplyDeletereally nice sketches of the birds :) the swamp hen is such an interesting bird, such big feet on them
ReplyDeleteThose are really truly incredible! You are such an amazing artist. That top one looks like it should be framed not in a sketch book!
ReplyDeleteOh my--I didn't realize how much I missed the loving touch you have with birds! Very interesting looking birds, too. Not that I don't like the rest of the sketches--hehe! Glad you got some quality time with the kids. Sounds just wonderful, Serena! But how can that lawn be dry enough to mow already?! :)
ReplyDeleteI sure would love to watch you work...see how you make such perfection, Serena!!! WOW!!!
ReplyDeleteHi Serena
ReplyDeleteYour drawings are always so lovely. And I love how you illustrate your journal. Me, I just write.
Hugs,
Tamerie
Serena,
ReplyDeleteThe pictures of the birds are wonderful. They could walk or swim off the page.
My favorite is the Purple Swamp Hen and I agree it does look like she's putting "best foot forward" or "strutting her stuff"!
Serena, your sketches are always so interesting, not only is the actual sketch great, but the journaling is delightful...Shelly
ReplyDeleteBeautiful entries Serena
ReplyDeleteWonderful sketches Serena, I love anything "bird" related. You did great.
ReplyDeleteSerena you are incredibly talented.
ReplyDeleteYour art is so good and I love your handwriting too.

What special sketchbooks you have. they are so beautiful. I love the swamp hen. :)
ReplyDeleteYour sketches brought those birds alive! My favorite is the swamp hen- we don't have a bird like that, that I'm aware of.
ReplyDeleteHi Serena,
ReplyDeleteYour sketches are wonderful as always!
Hope Michelle is doing better with each passing day!
Hugs
Amazing! You have such talent, Serena. My favorites here are the Muscovy Duck and the Purple Swamp Hen (who looks really exotic to me).
ReplyDeleteHighly recommend a click for a closeup on the Muscovy Duck to all readers. :) You've captured such a sense of motion in the gently rippling water, the shadow of his head and body, his ruffled wings, and the feet seen propelling him along beneath layers of shadow, water, and reflection. Lovely!
p.s. I do hope Michelle is better. Tell her a fellow TAWer sends her Zen wishes and as much healthy energy as I can muster in the dead of winter!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful work. I love birds! I'll bet I could add a whole whack of them to my life list in Australia.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely perfect! Each of them is beautiful and amazingly life like.
ReplyDeleteOh these are beautiful. You are on the roll keep them coming.
ReplyDeleteOh I love these, you do such beautiful work.
