Just a quick post today as I'm feeling very tired.
I've been in a fair bit of pain with my back this past week...
The walk around the lake last weekend aggravated it.
I have managed to do a little more for my class homework.
This homework was all about lettering inside a shape.
Can you see the heart shape below?
The heart shape below isn't quite as pronounced as the one above but it is there.

We also did an appropriate quote inside a shape.
I'm having so much fun with the creative letter play.
I would definitely recommend Andrea Joseph's Creative Lettering class.
It includes 4 weeks of daily lessons apart from weekends.
I still have some homework to catch up on so lots to do.
These were done with a fine liner, ballpoints pens and a little colouring pencil
in my A5 Moleskine sketchbook.

I just got over 4 weeks of lower back problems too. My fault for not slowing down, but it was summer and the weather was calling me outside:)
Like you said, any activity aggravates it and sends you back to square 1 of recuperation. Hope you feel better. I know how any pain can tire you out more quickly.
The letter shapes are wonderful. And I love the lettering and colors in the pear.
that looks fantastic Serena, I especially LOVE the pear. I have the class on my bucket list this year, maybe a Christmas present. Hope you're feeling better soon, I totally hear you about back pain. Mine's gone out several times this year. I bet you deserve a cookie. :o)
Oh no! I hope your back feels better soon. Back pain can really knock you off your normal path for a while. But, I love your lettering play! They're just great. What a fun class. :)

So fun! I love watching this come to life over the posts as you go deeper into the class. This one in particular gave me an idea for a small part of my short story world. :) A sort of "meaningful" graffiti. . . lol
