The Every Day Matters challenge #15 was to draw a tree, trees, branches or leaves.
These leaves belong to one of my succulents - Desert Rose - which my Mum gave to me some time ago. The Botanical name is - Adenium Obesum. I love the shiny, waxy look to the leaves and its flowers are a beautiful pink.
You are a great animal lover. I have a dog too and I don´t forget What the dogs are for the humans. In my blog I have three links for save the (Galgos?). In Spain the galgo are used for the hunt and these dogs before are abandoned and killed. In these links you can see some of these dogs what they are waiting a family. They are good Knowing. Bye Serena
Thanks Jou and I really like your blog too. I will check out the links you mentioned as I am interested in finding out more. Like you, I hate to see animals mistreated. Thanks for stopping by ~ :)
*It occurs to me that I never thought succulent's leaves as leaves. I guess because they're plump and juicy, unlike the regular leaves that are flat and dry.
Thanks, Luci. This particular succulent has fairly normal leaves, not plump and juicy like most succulents.
Thanks, Jessica.....what a lovely thing to say. Botany was something I had a huge interest in as a child.
Thanks, Bec. This one hasn't bloomed yet either but my Mum's one (the parent to mine) looks absolutely stunning in bloom. I sure hope mine blooms when it matures a little more.
Beautiful drawing of 'Desert Rose' Serena! Also, I really admire what you are doing for animals in need. Your artwork and what you are doing for wildlife and domestic animals is inspiring.
