happy valentine's day & 52 weeks of me
i hope you all have a very special and happy valentine's day!i decided to mark the occasion by creating a small canvas featuring.....a heart!
6"x6" gallery-wrapped canvas - acrylics & mixed mediaclick on image to enlargethe weight of the buddha keeps the heart closed but it opens out to reveal a list of some of the things that i love.

YIKES!!! i nearly forgot to post my self portrait pic for the week.i thought you might be a little bored of seeing my face all the time so, today, you get my feet...lol
well, i was really pointing out that i LOVE long, flowing skirts ~ :)
Serena!!!! I ADORE, ADORE, ADORE this mixed media piece. It's altar worthy. What a gorgeous concept and a magical execution. To me, this is beyond art. This is sacred.

Your Love canvas is beautiful! What a clever idea, too! I think you have a flare for the collage. Ahh! Long flowing skirts--so comfortable. You look good in them. :)

ReplyDeleteGenie - How did you know? After finishing the canvas, I placed it on my altar in the the studio and it fits in perfectly. It feels sacred to me too.
The box is real neat I like the color and little lock on it.

the heart is beautiful! and I love long skirts too.. in winter I wear them with Doc Martens.

ReplyDeleteJacque - no leggings though I love that look too. this is a wrap-around skirt which has two layers and can be worn quite a few different ways.
Robyn - I LOVE that look too! Are your Doc Martens the chunky boot style?
