I love this mug but I wouldn't say it has been my favourite mug, however, it is the one I currently use and it's the only one of my mugs that hasn't ended up broken. I'm always on the look out for new mugs that I like and the fancy, artsy types always get my attention. I love my hot drinks and the bigger the mug, the better. I've been known to use soup-sized mugs for my coffee...you know, like the ones they used in the Central Perk coffee lounge on the series - Friends. I'm more of a green tea drinker now but I still like my mugs large. As you can see in the pics I also like to leave my green teabag in the mug.....LOVE my green tea! The problem with tea is that it stains the mug so the design on this mug has worn somewhat around the rim from scrubbing.....ah well, it gives me a great excuse to go and stock up on some more mugs.

I like your "fish" mug. I also like big cups or mugs....and I used to have one of those "Friends" mugs. I don't know what happened to it.
ReplyDeleteWhat a delightful mug! Mike likes big ol' mugs like you do. I use a small mug because I'm a sipper and my coffee gets cold in the big mugs before I can drink it.
ReplyDeleteHow could you go wrong with that colorful mug to start the day?! I'm a reformed potter so I appreciate a good mug and how it feels in your hand. I love to collect the work of others and definitely have my favorite mugs ... you know the ones you gravitate to if it's clean!
ReplyDeletelove the mug, the fish is great :D oh theres fish on the handle, very nice little touch to it
ReplyDeleteLove your mug. I too enjoy looking for something unusual. It makes sipping tea or coffee more fun...Take care...Shelly
ReplyDeleteThat's such a pretty mug! The handle is different, i like it! I usually leave my tea bag in too, get the most nutrition out of it... mmm now I'd like some tea too pease hee hee ;)
ReplyDeleteHugs
Sprite
I like your coffee cup, very colorful. Besides I love fish art..
ReplyDeleteI love your beautiful mug, I am going to have to go mug shopping before we do another mug shoot (:
ReplyDeleteThat is a snazzy mug - LOVE the fish design! ALL of my mugs and dishes would be OOAK artist originals if I could afford it.
ReplyDeleteHah ! what a great mug. I have several pretty ones... flowers... birds...etc... but, for some reason...the one I like size-wise.. and feel of the heft in my hand...is plain ol' black and small.... sigh....
ReplyDeleteWe are so alike, you and I.
ReplyDeleteYes, I also have a bucket-mug. Your fish mug is so pretty and cheerful. :)
Here's how you clean the stains:
Squirt some dish detergent into the mug. Fill with boiling water. Let sit for a minute or 2, then scrub it with a scrubby brush. The stains come right out.
That is such a pretty mug. Love the shot with the tea bag floating in it! It's very Zen.
ReplyDeleteF. and I disagree on mugs. He wants every mug we own to be unique and colorful and on display, and he doesn't care if the designs all clash. I want all simple, white mugs on our display tree... and he can have whatever he likes in the cabinet. ;) Otherwise, I feel like the kitchen looks too busy.
When he's drinking, tho, he doesn't care what mug it's in, while I choose prettier designs, and the bigger the better for a leisurely sipping. :)
Love that mug! But I do have a "thing for mugs"...probably because coffee is such a comfort in my life.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful mug, and a great size! And how nice that the handle is decorated, too.
ReplyDeleteWhat a bright, happy mug for your tea!!! The vessel is as important as what is in it -- I've always felt that way and have specific favourites. Tea does stain so doesn't it? And like you, I love big bowled mugs for my coffee and tea...something to put my hands around to keep them warm on a cold day.
ReplyDeleteNice mug!
ReplyDeleteWonderful colors and love the fish. I switched over to a thermal cup because my son and DIL couldn't take finding my cup in the mocrowave one more time and bought me one--hehe! I love big mugs, but they get cold so fast and I like hot coffee so I was always popping it in the micro and forgetting it--ROFL! My cup may be nothing to look at any more--but my coffee is hotter. ;)
