Hi everyone,
The clouds looked like rows of fluffy cotton balls in the sky this morning.
So pretty and quite spectacular!
Life sure has been throwing me some curve balls of late.
After some discussion with the anaesthetist yesterday it was decided that my hysterectomy surgery would be postponed until I see a cardiologist. Unfortunately, the Stress Echo-cardiogram did show some problems so it would be too risky to operate for a non-emergency surgery. I'm okay with this because, once the heart issues became apparent, I was wary of the surgery going ahead anyways.
So now I wait for an appointment to see the Cardiologist. I will need to get an Angiogram to see why my heart isn't getting enough oxygen when I'm under stress.
I've certainly had a rough couple of years regarding my health and I'm feeling quite deflated by it all. I've also been feeling like a bad blogger friend too because I just haven't had the time or inkling to go around and visit my dear blogger friends. I do apologise for this and hope to get back to form in the coming months. However, for this reason, I've decided to take a break from blogging for now.
I don't know how long this break will be for but I do plan to sketch and make art in the interim so, hopefully, I'll have lots to share when I come back.
I will try to pop in and visit you all here and there.
I will still remain active on Facebook so feel free to 'friend' me if you want to stay in more regular touch. See sidebar for my FB profile links.

ReplyDeleteoh Serena...i wish i were closer so i'd be able to give you a hug and tell you "it's ok". I'm sad that your health is forcing you to be away from blogging for a while, but i'm happy you're putting YOURSELF first. It's a must. Sorry to hear about the health issues, but sometimes, after such health scares, life improves in ways that we never would have imagined.
ReplyDeleteOnly 2 years ago, my mother was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer, and my father had a serious heart attack & needed open heart surgery. Both were in the hospital at the same time. Today, only 2 years later, it's hard to believe they are the same 2 people. They are both doing so well.
All of this to say that even if sometimes, things can seem so frightening - they can also improve and you can finally begin to heal.
Wishing your heart a peaceful healing...
We'll be here - come back anytime. :-)
xoxo
I can see why you'd rather just take a break from blogging for a while. Your health comes first and foremost. It's more relaxing for you to be playing with art, anyways. ;) You can just pick up with us all when you come back. You don't have to go back and catch up on mine, sweetie. I'm just glad to see you whenever you can stop by. Take care of yourself. Relax. Take is easy. Sending much love, hugs, and good energy!! xoxoxo
ReplyDeleteSerena...please take good care of yourself. I will miss you until you return, and you will be in my prayers! God bless you and your family!

Good luck with your health issues. The heart is a wonderous thing, working 24/7 and doing an amazing job of keeping us alive. I have a syndrome that causes my heart to beat irregularly, sometimes stopping altogether for short periods of time. It's normal for me and has never really caused me any serious problems.
ReplyDeleteI hope you can get it all sorted and organized .... very soon. We need to feel confident about our health.... because, without it...there is nothing else.
ReplyDeleteBig hugs,
Vee
I was really fascinated by your blog.I consider my creative inclination a wonderful gift to produce artwork and my inspiration is my inner self and world around me. There is an attempt to create a powerful emotional bond that reaches the heart and soul of the viewer. As an artist, I have explored variety of themes and ideas. The exploration clearly reflects the diversity and escapades of my journey of evolving experience and confidence in my work. Paintings as jubilation, emancipation express different emotions like hope, joy, calmness or motivation while abstract waterscape is just vibrant and full of life.
ReplyDeleteStay positive and lots of prayers your way!
ReplyDeleteI hope you are able to sort everything out and that you are making the time for sketching and whatever else brings you peace and joy. Sure is tough when you are having health issues. Take care of yourself and do pop in to let us know how you are doing. Wishing you all the best, Tammy
ReplyDeleteHope all is going well over there and that you are doing okay. Best wishes and blessings, Tammy
ReplyDeleteHang in there Serena - you're one tough cookie!
