I'm BAAAAAAACK!!!

Remember me???!!

Yes, it has been a while and I have missed you all terribly!
Thanks to those who commented and sent well wishes...they were all very much appreciated.

Okay....you will also notice that I've made a few changes to my blog recently.

I just LOVE the crisp clean, easy to access, Dynamic Views templates so I finally plucked up the courage to try one!

To view ALL of the latest post, click on the first post at top of page.
To view an individual post, just click on it and it will open in a new window.
To leave a comment, simply click on View Comments at the bottom of a post and a comment box will magically appear at the bottom of previous commented posted. Scroll down to leave your comment too.
If you move your mouse cursor over to the dark vertical line to the right, you will find a hidden docking station. Move your mouse cursor over the symbols to see what each is about.

Fun, fun, FUN!!!

Now that's out of the way, let me fill you in on what I've been up to.
Truth be known, it hasn't been much.

I've been dealing with a rotten, asthmatic cough for the past month and it's been driving me CRAZY!  I hate it and it's had me feeling fatigued and very low. This morning, I remembered that, a while back, Julie told me to try drinking hot black tea so I'm now drinking it by the gallon! I sure hope it helps because my inhalers just don't seem to be up to par.

On another health note, I saw the Cardiologist last week and he is lining up an angiogram for me in the next two weeks.  I think they call it a coronary catheterisation in the States.  On a positive note, after a thorough examination and discussion of my symptoms, the Cardiologist personally feels my heart is okay. Apparently, it can be quite common for women to show false-positives on Heart Stress tests.  I am SO hoping he's right but, as he said, he can't confirm anything until I have the angiogram.

I did a little sketching during my blog absence. Not as much as I would have liked but better than none at all.

I'll post more sketches tomorrow so stay tuned.

I will be by to 'visit' YOU in the coming days too.

Before I hit publish, I couldn't resist throwing in a  couple of pics of the boys, Cody and Jack, sleeping like babies on my bed one morning. Sorry the pics appear a little grey....it was early morning on an overcast day.

It's SO good to be back!

Love, light and peace

  3. SERENA!!!!! So happy to see you again....I was wondering about you just a few days ago hoping all was well. Talk to your doc about possible medication changes for better control of your asthma. I hope you will get relief with the tea trick!

Best wishes with having the angiogram.

Love your sketches. Awesome, as usual!!!

    1. Thanks, Julie! I was thinking I may have to do that re. asthma medication. I'm wondering if all the chest pain and fatigue has maybe been related to my lungs all along. I'll let you know how the angiogram goes ~

  4. Glad you are back Serena. Hope the angiogram goes well. Love your sketches and my comfortable they look. I like your new look. I find the new look from Blogger hard to use and I know that we won't be able to switch back to the old interface before long so I better get used to the new look. I'm just used to the old way and changes are aren't easy. It's free though so why should I complain. Well it's free for now that is. tee hee. Glad to see you and hope that you continue to do better.

    1. Thanks so much, Gloria. I know some people are having trouble with the new Blogger interface but I have to say it's been a breeze for me. I find it has so much more to offer with easy access. I agree tho, changes aren't always easy.

Take it easy and take care. Like your new look blog. Have problems with it when I use the ipad to see but on the normal desk top it works well so far.

  23. okay..it's all new and weird.... but, finally found a post I could relate to...

    Hope you feel better soon.

My lungs seem to have taken a turn for the worse as well. Never had a cold for 17 years ..then... coughing began Feb 22...I know because it was the day we landed in Portugal...it still hasn't stopped ..only lessened, but not before I coughed hard enough to wreck rib tissue. And... finally after inhalers... drugs...etc...an x-ray shows a shadow on my lung.... but, so far nobody knows what it is. redo the x-ray in 6 weeks they say....sigh... and try to carry on as normal. Okay then.... drive us crazy, see if we care eh, Serena?

    1. LOL...it's very easy really....just click on any post preview to view the post in full.

So sorry you're having lung problems too. I do feel that, if the angiogram comes back clear, they may well have to investigate more into my lungs. I haven't had an X-ray of my chest yet and I think it is needed. The coughing gets me down so much...I hate it! I hope the shadow on your X-ray is just due to congestion and nothing more sinister. Yes, all these medical issues are indeed driving me crazy, Vee. lol
