My first time playing Sunday Snippets!
Michelle made some delicious English-style scones and brought them over for afternoon tea.
The tangled heart which was in the flower arrangement
that my kids gifted me when I came home from hospital.
I was upset that I didn't get photos while the arrangement was fresh.
Sadly, a wilted flower will have to do.
Cody asleep on my bed.
Jack in my bed.
A new house under construction right behind our back fence.
Cody is not amused!!
A weird sky earlier in the week.
It was like the sky was covered with a thick blanket of cloud on one side,
while the other side was clear, blue sky.
Further progress on the blanket for Granddaughter number two.
This will be the same size as the blanket I made for Aaron
so will fit a single bed when finished.
I hope you've all been enjoying a beautiful weekend!
~ Love, light and peace ~

sensible sarah
Thanks, Sarah! I have a long way to go before I can take pics as nice as your Mum's pics. :)
DeleteGosh that house looks like it is right up next to your fence! I can see why Cody is not amused--LOL!
ReplyDeleteGreat bunch of pictures! Love the blanketed sky, Cody on the blanket, and the progress on the new blanket. ;)
I don't think I've ever had scones. They look delicious. Mikayla is so sweet.
That tangled heart is just beautiful! You'll have to find someplace special for it.
So glad you are feeling better. Well enough to join a new online group! Whoohoo! Have a wonderful week!! :):)
Hi Rita,
DeleteYes, the house feels like it's very close although they do have a backyard that gives us a little distance....that's high-density living, I guess. I'm glad you like the pics! I have the heart sitting in one of the bottles in my bedroom for now. Yes, another online group....so much to keep me motivated now.
Have a great week ~ xo
Beautiful pictures. I especially love the Cody picture. He's just so sweet! And I am again prodded to begin an afghan like that!
ReplyDeleteThanks, DJan! OH yes, do make a start on the afghan....I'm sure you won't regret it. :)

ReplyDeleteThanks, Krissie! I too felt the flower still had beauty despite being wilted. x
Deleteawww sleeping puppies :)
ReplyDeleteooh scones :D really want to make some know lol
I LOVE English-style scones with jam and freshly whipped cream....delicious!
DeleteWelcome to Sunday Snippets! I´ve been playing for a while and it is a great complement to my daily pics. :)
ReplyDeleteHow big is Mikayla! She was a tiny baby a few minutes ago. :D Lovely new blanket.
Thanks, Paula! I've lurked on Sunday Snippets for a while so finally decided to take the plunge and join in. I'm looking forward to seeing your photos. I know...it seems like only yesterday that Mikayla was just a baby...now, she's a toddler with lots to say AND adorable! :)
DeleteGreat photos! I'm with Cody...how rude of those people to build right at his back fence. I think they may deserve some middle-of-the-night barking haha ;)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Cat! I think he'll be glad when it's all finished....he's terrified of all the constructions noises. I'm not keen on the house being so close not to mention a little higher. They will be able to look right into my lounge-room from their window. There goes my privacy. :(
Deleteyour granddaughter is SUCH a cutie, so is snuggly little Cody. So glad your back and getting better too. i'd send flowers if i could!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jenny...she's kinda squinting her eyes in this pic but still cute! I'm feeling so much better now, thanks. xo
DeleteScones and grandbabies make for some lovely highlights in a week. Have a lovely weekend. x
ReplyDeleteThey sure do, Bron. :)
DeleteI cannot get over how grown up Mikayla is!!!! Good grief....kids grow so quickly!!! She is gorgeous!!!!!
