I love my Owlly!

I like to carry some minimal sketch supplies with me at all times and,
recently, I found the perfect little case to hold my sketch kit.

Meet Owlly!
No, I didn't sketch this cute owl or name it for that matter.
The cases already come in various colours and designs.

There is a flap inside to hold my art pens plus two compartments for
my pocket A6 Moleskine sketchbooks and more pens.

How cool is that?!!

AND...it fits perfectly inside the middle compartment of my handbag.

I'm a happy girl!

Now, IF ONLY I can get over my fear of sketching in public.

  2. Oh I SOOO wish they sold these here in Canada or even in the US so I could order one. I looked and looked this afternoon but I can't find a place that ships to canada from Australia. This would be perfect as you said. I just ordered moleskine Cahier large for plein air drawing, trying to get over my fear just like you! DRAT, it would have fit perfectly!!! I also saw the pink one, SOOOO cute!! Now I'm bummed. ;o(

    1. That's why I avoid sketching in public. I'm very uncomfortable being the centre of attention so people's curiosity would make me very nervous. I'm hoping to get over my fear tho.

  4. awesome, Serena! So sweet and fun. LOVE your rose colored back too. I so need a new purse - you inspired me to save up and treat myself to a fun bag! I've always felt nervous drawing in public too... like I would be considered a weird anomaly. Which is silly, because every time I see an artist at work in public, I admire them and watch them in awe. xoxo Happy sketching!

  7. Ooooo...I have to ask too, where did you get that little thing you've made into your portable art kit?! Or who makes it? Is it possible to get online?! Sorry... just very excited! I've been looking for something like that for ages, and that can comfortably fit a little sketchbook or journal inside...LOL! So sweet. And LOVE your handbag--that crushed raspberry color is super. Happy Day, Serena ((HUGS)) P.S. I'm hosting a little Valentine Giveaway this week, stop by if you get a chance. :o)

  10. Thanks everyone for the positive feedback. :)

The 'pencil' cases are sold by an Australian company based in Brisbane. Here is their website - http://www.sbg.com.au/shopping/ My sketch case is actually their Scruffs Hardhead pencil case.

  11. VERY CUTE!!!! I know what you mean about fear of sketching in public....I used to feel like that. I recently got over the fear, on my recent vacation to Turks and Caicos. 7 days ... I sketched everywhere...and managed to lose myself. But be warned...it attracted LOTS of people who wanted to chit chat!! :)
