An Old Irish Blessing
May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind always be at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
and rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.
As I'm half-Irish myself, I couldn't let the day go by without acknowledging it on my blog.
Nowadays, St. Paddy's Day is celebrated by people of all backgrounds around the world and here, in Australia, the pubs usually serve green beer to mark the occasion.
Are you wearing green today?
That is gorgeous Serena :) Love the butterfly!
ReplyDeleteHappy St Patrick's Day to you! That is a lovely Blessing . . .

ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful picture, and I've always loved that Irish blessing.
ReplyDeleteHere in the US everyone is Irish today, too. And the green beer flows plus even a river is dyed green for today!
HI Serena! thanks for visiting my blog! Happy St' Pat's!
ReplyDeleteYour art is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteHi Serena -- That piece is stunning on the dark toned paper. And yes, I'm wearing green and the Irishman in the family cooked corned beef and cabbage so we're covered! - Barbara
