I've been taking things fairly easy as I'm still not 100%. I'm on my second course of antibiotics and I seem to have reached a plateau where I've stopped improving. Despite taking things easy, I've been feeling quite exhausted and fatigued by mid-afternoon too. I'm off to the doctor again later this morning so I guess I'll see what the next step will be.

For my photos this week, I thought I'd share some pics from the lovely Sunday we had at Michelle and Alex's place. Michelle rang up in the morning and invited us over for a barbecue and we all had a great time.

Michelle organised the table setting.....

....while Alex manned the barbecue and cooked up some home-made hamburger patties. As I don't eat meat, Michelle gave me some mushroom and asparagus quiche which she had made and it was DELICIOUS!!!

It was a bright, sunny day but the large umbrella provided the perfect canopy for shade

Alex's bonsai trees are thriving in the sun

It was a perfect Sunday!

Expect to see a lot more posting from me in November because it's that time again! I have, once again, signed up for NaBloPoMo (National Blog Posting Month) where participating bloggers will post daily for the month of November. I had so much fun participating last year and I'm seeing this as the perfect opportunity to get myself motivated and out of the slump I've been in lately. It has been mostly due to sickness but I refuse to wallow forever. If you're interested in signing up too just click on the badge above.

love, light and peace

  1. Sorry you are still not 100% and that the second round of antibiotics didn't really kick this out of you. Hopefully you had some success with talking to your doctor today.

Looks like the barbecue was lots of fun...it's always lovely to be entertained!!

  2. Sunday looks great and it seems like a nice time you all have, wishing you feel better!

  3. Gee, I hope you begin to feel better soon, Serena! But looks like you had a wonderful BBQ with Michelle and Alex.
    Get Well!

  4. Hey gorgeous! It has been so long since I have written. It is good to see the awesome Austrailian sunlight in your pics. I hope you get to feeling better soon!

  5. I looked at your beautiful pictures and felt tears prick my eyes. Waaaaah! I don't want to be Canadian!!!! The next 7 months will be winter. Sniffle.

Keep getting strong. Prayers are with you!

  6. Looks like it was a wonderful day spent with the family. I hope you feel better soon, Serena. I've been feeling blah and icky myself- boring, isn't it?

  7. Hi Serena,
Oh honey, I'm sorry its taking so long to get better.

Maybe you should have a full examination with blood tests and see what your body is up to?
I hope your on the mend real soon.

Looks like a lovely, relaxing, family day at Michelles. Just what the Dr ordered!
    Take it easy,

  8. i really hope that the drs helped!

michelle's place looks great, love the yard :)

  9. It was a great day Mum. Thanks for coming over :)

I am looking forward to seeing your posts everyday in Nov.

    Hope you feel better soon.

  10. Oh Serena, I hope you can kick this soon. I had a terrible time after my oral surgery. Went thru a total of four doses of different antibiotics after the surgery--(and also a fifth one before the surgery)--total of three different kinds of antibiotics. Sometimes it is tough to kick those nasty infections. Just take all the time you need to rest and relax and heal. It's okay to just "be" and not "do", right? (I have to keep telling myself that all the time--ROFL!!) Enjoy your contemplative time of rest and release. :) :)

  11. Hi Serena,

I am still away but wanted to check a few blogs to catch up. :)
So sorry to hear you are still not well. It is a great idea to see the Dr. again. Hope he gives you something that will help you get better soon.
I am so happy that all of you are sharing lovely moments together now that Michelle lives closer. :)

  12. I'm sorry you're still feeling bad. I hope the doctor visit helped.

Looks like your family is taking good care of you.

  13. Oh, I wish you were feeling 100% Serena!! Have they tested you for mono? That seems to really drag on and cause extreme fatique. No meds for it though, just rest and time.

I saw the bbq pics on Michelle's blog and it looks like you all had a wonderful time!

Thanks for your encouragement on your last visit :)
