home from hospital and doing okay

after a couple of hiccups to start with, surgery went ahead and i am now at home recuperating...YAY!!!  i'm feeling some pain but i expect to be back up to par over the next couple of days.  unfortunately, i won't know the results of the biopsies until early october unless of course they find something sinister, in which case i will be called in sooner.  naturally, i would prefer the wait until october.

thanks so much for all the well wishes via comments and emails.  you guys sure know how to make a gal feel loved.  much appreciated ~ xo

prior to going into hospital i knitted a pair of these
what are they you ask???

i chose the pic below for WEEK 25 in the 52 WEEKS OF ME challenge
it makes me think of those raggedy dolls legs! LOL

i've been lax at keeping up with everyone's blogs with all that's been going on in my life lately but I am going to make an effort to catch up while i'm recuperating.  i can't wait to see what you've been up to.

~ love, light and peace ~

  7. Glad your surgery is over with, Serena! Hope you are doing well today! Sure love the socks and booties you have been making...and wow...that bed afghan you are crocheting where you have to change colors every two rows!!! OMG!!! Will you do the whole thing that way, or have a few sections just one color??? It will be gorgeous, no matter how you do it! Little Mikayla is so pretty, and as you said, she is growing fast! Take care of yourself. Hope your asthma is behaving, too, BTW!

  8. Oh gosh Serena I have been lax on visiting blogs myself lately and I didn't know you were unwell! I am so glad you are home now though and feeling "fairly" up to speed and I will says some prayers for your quick recovery.
I love the little slippers! They look like some we used to make and called "Pocketbook Slippers". Boy do they come in handy when your feet need a rest from hard shoes.
Rest up and stay comfy and get better fast!
    God bless!

  9. Hi Serena, so glad you are okay and home recuperating. Wow! October is a long way off. Why does it take so long to get results? Those knitted slippers are absolutely adorable! I've got to get back to packing. We leave tomorrow and will be gone for 10 days. Take care and have a great rest of the week. Tammy

  15. You can't expect to keep up with it all Serena...especially with all that has been happening at your end.

    Sending hugs...

I failed at self breast examination.... my doctor found a lump last week...so now I'm off to have a mammo and ultrasound mid July...sigh....always some damn thing or other isn't it? She says she thinks it is just cyst...and I'm hoping fervently that is what it is.
