Tea and tofu

Tracey Potter posted a photo on Instagram of a tea she liked
and I just had to try it for myself.
It was delicious!
All natural flavours so not too sweet.
I had mine hot but it would make a great thirst quencher if chilled.
It even made its way into my illustrated journal.

I started with a quick pen sketch
in my large Moleskine sketchbook
using my trusty ZIG Millennium 005 pen.
I used a Uniball Vision Elite pen with blue ink
to stroke in the 'Tetley' background.

Followed by some watercolours.

Final detailing using Faber-Castell PITT pens
in black and sanguine
plus a Uniball Signo pen in white to fatten up 'Tetley'
which looked quite anorexic in the early stages.

One thing that I'm loving at the moment is
I made a stir-fry noodle dish with this
a week or so back and it was SO delicious!
It might just make it into my sketchbook one day.

Love the sketch--and seeing it step by step, too!
Never heard of the marinated tofu. If we had that here I'd be on that like white on rice. ;)
Glad to see you sketching again. *hugs* xoxo

VERY PRETTY likeness of the tea packet captured, Serena...love those warm colors, so inviting & cozy! I like tofu and miss it--living in our small town, it is not easy to come by... LOL! Happy Days ((HUGS))

Wow! Great job on the tea pack. I can't tell the difference between the two. :) That tofu sounds yummy! Hope all is well. Tammy

Haven't tried apple tea but I imagine it would be nice. :)

Thanks, Rita. Yes, marinated tofu! Delicious with stir-fry! :)

Thanks, Krissie! I bought the tofu from Woollies and followed the instructions where I fried up the tofu first and then added the marinade. It's in the vegetarian fridge section near the cheese. :)

Thanks, Tracy. A pity tofu is scarce there. I must admit that I wasn't a fan of tofu initially but I am now. I especially love the way the Thai restaurants cook tofu. :)

Thanks, Tammy. :) xo

I have just recently become a tea drinker out of necessity but I find that I really like it. I will have to look for this in my store. I love your sketch. Thanks for letting me know about the link. I checked and had typed it in correctly but when I tried it it took me to the same place it took you. I guess computers have a mind all of their own.

Thanks, Ginny. I quite enjoy a cup of tea. How odd that the link takes us elsewhere to what you have typed in. Maybe try deleting the linkage fully, then re-add the new link address?
