this tree overlooks our backyard from the bushland behind the fence. this is actually a termite nest and was home to a kingfisher family earlier this year. it originally had the one hole made by the kingfishers but, over the past few weeks, a second hole has appeared.....it makes me think of a face with eyes looking down at us. i like to think of it as our very own sentinel and protector.......someone to watch over us.
on another note, here are our completed tags. aaron did the green and pink ones which are yet another gift for his big sis. he chose those colours to match the little sticky-note book he made for michelle in his paper bead project. he even included his leftover paper beads in the tags. i think my tags look quite boring and bland compared to his bright and cheerful ones but don't tell him i said that or i'll never hear the end of it. lol

Liked the dog photo. And the bald eagle painting. And the zebras at dusk. Although I'm not sure what it was about the zebras. The zebras themselves or the Australian light over everything...
ReplyDeleteJames (in Ireland)
I am sure big sis will love them
ReplyDeleteLoved the photo of who watching you and the tags are wonderful!

ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my blog, Audrey Hepburn did a film set in Africa I think it was called the Nuns Story. But my painting is from her charitable work when she was much older.

Hi Serena,
ReplyDeletedid the tarot thing and it was fun. It says I am a wheel of fortune! Wow! Thanks for the link.
Thanks for that, art and poetry. I knew the painting reminded me of a movie. It's possible I saw pics of her doing her charity work too. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you enjoyed the tarot, indiaartist ~ :)
Those tags are gorgeous!!
ReplyDeleteI have many photographs of trees that are "watching" me as I walk by. I love your "sentinel".
Wow...if I had a tree like that, I would DEFINITELY think I was being watched...
ReplyDeleteSerena, you're right. That nest does look like a face. It reminds me of Jack from the Nightmare Before Christmas :)
ReplyDeleteOh, my, those tags look wonderful. Both of you are always so busy creatively. Your house must be buzzing with creative energy!
Love those tags Serena!
ReplyDeleteHi Serena...hope you have a wonderful week! It is MOnday morning and back to work for me. I sure do like to look at these pretty tags...something I must try!
ReplyDeleteWhat sweet little tags...artistic talent surely does run in the family! LOl
ReplyDeleteThat nest thingy is scarey...Do you have to worry about termites?...we have them here in the desert as well and all home foundations have been treated...never have seen a nest...good grief...it's huge! :)
Serena I love the tags and I'm fascinated by knots on trees. Are they watching us?:)
