well, it's spring DownUnder! here in brissie, the morning first greeted us with some light rain but now the sun is shining again. while i do love winter, i'm looking forward to the warmer days of spring.
yesterday, we visited michelle and alex and had a lovely time.
today, i plan to spend some time in the studio. i hope that, whatever you are doing today, it brings you lots of joy and contentment.
OMG Serena--- this is just gorgeous! WOW! It blows my socks off! You are amazing!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Julie! :)
ReplyDeleteI second that, the light is just wonderful - and I'd love to see this on my wall, it would cheer me up every time I looked at it! What is gallery wrapped canvas, btw?
ReplyDeleteThanks, Felicity! :) It's my understanding that gallery-wrapped canvas is simply canvas that is wrapped around the wooden frame and stapled on the back for a more professional, ready to hang appearance.
ReplyDeleteHi Serena, Funny you should post your Daisies. I was thinking about them for the past two weeks and was going to write to see if you might still be interested in teaching it for our little group.. Synchronicity is alive and well... ;o) Ro
ReplyDeleteSerena, I love this painting. The shading and highlighting of the petals - in my mind I can visualize the sun high above in the sky shining down on the flower. Beautiful painting.
ReplyDeleteSerena, those daisies make my heart soar and feel so happy. Daisies are so cheerful ... your painting make me feel exactly that. And the blue sky behind only inspires good hope :)
ReplyDelete*I hope you're having a great time in your studio.
Serena,
ReplyDeleteLove this piece! Definitely invokes a strong feeling of spring (which WE have to wait a long time to see). Thanks for sharing!
