Happy Sunday to you!
Today actually felt like Saturday to me for some reason.
I guess I always lose track of days when Aaron is on school holidays.
I did a bit of homework for Sketchbook Skool today.
Danny Gregory is teacher for this first week of second semester.
Yet another awesome klass!
My homework - A slice of raisin toast.
I used PITT pens in various widths and colours -
dark sepia, black, raw umber, green gold and sanguine -
in my Moleskine A5 sketchbook.
Linking up to Sunday Sketches and Artists Play Room this week.
its beautiful, delicious! I'm having fun with Sketchbook school too!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad to hear you're enjoying Sketchbook Skool too, Laurie. Did you sign up for Beginnings or Seeing?
DeleteLooks good enough to eat ~ great sketch ~ Happy week ahead to you ~ thanks, ^_^

Thanks, Carol. xx
DeleteWow, your toast art work looks scrumptious!
ReplyDeleteAnd I lose track of days when a holiday is involved too.
Thanks, Juana. Yep, it's so easy to lose track of days when the regular routine changes for the holidays.
DeleteThat toast looks amazing. I don't know how you managed to draw it without eating it...lol. Happy SS
ReplyDeleteThanks, Kim. It helped that I had already eaten some raisin toast prior to sketching. This one was purely used in the name of art...I can't stand cold toast. lol
DeleteWhat a fabulous sketch of toast! I seriously couldn't do that. Mine would be utterly lop-sided. hee :)
ReplyDeletethanks, Alex! xx
DeleteBeautiful and delicious looking!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Lisa. :)
DeleteOMGosh! That is an excellent rendition if ever I saw one! Danny does like drawing his food, doesn't he? LOL!
ReplyDeleteHave a super week!! :)
Thanks, Rita. I guess he figures that everyone has food of some sort in their pantry...this week was about 'seeing' all the details of bread. :)
Deletethis looks like a challenging piece, all those raisins! Great job Serena.
ReplyDeleteIt got a little tedious but it was a fun challenge. :)
DeleteYou did an amazing job and now I"m very hungry for raisin toast :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Carol. xx
DeleteThis is the greatest looking toast I've ever seen!!!!! Lovely!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Julie. xx
Deletevery nice sketch :D what if a person doesn't eat toast tho??
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jen. xx Students who don't eat bread/toast for whatever reasons used subjects like crackers, crispbreads,.. etc.
DeleteBeautiful sketch :) Did the toast get cold while you were sketching it? It happened to me before, I was so tempted to teat it while drawing :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Viktoriya. Yes, the toast got cold and, as I can't stand cold toast, it was purely used for a sketch subject and nothing else. I stayed the temptation by eating freshly made raisin toast prior to sitting down and sketching. :)
DeleteSerena as always your sketches are breathtakingly beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Shashi! xx
DeleteTerrific toast drawing! So nicely done. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Cindy. :)
