on sunday we went for a nice country drive.
it was a beautiful, clear day though we could still feel the winter chill on the breeze.
we ended up at one of our favourite spots -
burgess park at christmas creek.
a pic of aaron down by the creek

bradley, cody and beau
it was the perfect spot for beau to crack the whip
without having to worry about disturbing neighbours
it is very loud!
and, of course, boys will be boys
my favourite tree - queensland bottle tree
a part of the australian countryside
which can be quite treacherous in areas
not to mention being home to some of the deadliest snakes in the world
by late afternoon, dark clouds started setting in but
thankfully, no rain followed
and by the time we arrived home an hour later
we were able to watch a glorious sunset from the front of our house
all in all, we had a fabulous sunday despite feeling very tired by the time we got home
i hope you had some special moments during your weekend too?
feel free to share what you did in the comments link
love, light and peace

We went for a 'nice' drive yesterday in Dale's convertible and the fuel pump went out and we had to get towed by a friend to the repair shop. Good times. ha!

Looks like a wonderful day, Serena! It being our Independence Day on July 4th, we watched fireworks from Washington, New York, and Boston on TV and listened to some great patriotic music.
ReplyDeleteLove that bottle tree...it looks like some kind of cedar, is it? And that sunset is glorious!!
Sigh. I want to live somewhere were you can have just short sleaves in the winter.

ReplyDeleteHi Serena,
ReplyDeleteOoh, those pictures look like a great family day out.
Hm, I can't wait to see how you paint that sunset! lol
My guys and I went into the city to the boat show, out for a yummy dinner at The Meat & Wine Co. and stayed in a motel on Southbank for the night.
Yes, bliss.
Hugs,
Anna
Glad you guys had such a nice day and that the weather was so nice.
ReplyDeletethe colours in the sky are gorgeous! I'd be walking around trying to spot all kinds of snakes, at a safe distance of course.
ReplyDeleteOh my, each photo is lovlier than the last. I have a deep affection for running water so I was sure the creek would be my favorite, but that sunset is exquisite.
ReplyDeletelovely pics Serena.... I'm in the neighbouring province at my sister's little farm this week.
ReplyDeleteMy special moments included a lot of work and sweating, but, it's always fun ...probably because it's different from my normal life in a big city..
love the purples and pinks in the sunset..... ooooohhh.... beautiful....
What a luscious sounding day, Serena!!! The snake part wouldn't be so great, but thankfully I hope none of those were seen!!! Hubby, daughter and I are driving about Florida seeing some places we have never seen before...just at a leisurely pace.
ReplyDeleteTake care---Julie
