------------------------------------------------

i have been busy painting the desk the past couple of days

here it is prepped and ready for the first coats of paint
i had to wait two hours between each re-coat

and here it is painted in white and blue

i still need to paint a design on the door that hides the drawers area of the desk

and also the wooden stool

i hope to have more progress pics to show over the coming days

love, light and peace

Hi Mum,

Great post! I still remember making that stool for you, it was so much fun! If I could do woodwork like that again, I know I'd still have fun again! Glad to see you're going to be painting it to match your colour scheme!

Love Brad!

Serena, your sketches are so beautiful. I love them. Obviously talent runs in the family and Aaron's sketch is beautiful too. I am sure he is going to grow into wonderful artist.

Awesome that you and Aaron were sketching together--love that! Good job, Aaron! And the desk looks really nice so far. Can hardly wait to see what you paint on the door.

I miss it when I haven't been by to visit your blog for a while. Say hi to Cody! :)

Great project Serena:) Hey, I've been meaning to ask ... have you gone & seen the Impressionists exhibition from 'The Met'? I'm planning on going on the 17th September when I travel down for my workshop on the Gold Coast the next day:) cheers, Maria:)

Awesome Serena!!
I'm so much the same. Always repainting used furniture. In fact I just found a vanity for my daugher on the side of the road. Sanding and repainting will be going on soon.
I absolutely love your sketches from your nature walk. And Aaron's too! How cool is that?

Aaron's gonna be an artist......

oooh you are a busy beaver. It has been so hot the past two weeks I do nothing..... above 30C.... whew....

I got a new Big Bertha driver and still have only been to hit a few buckets of balls... too hot to bother.... darn it. I want to see if I can hit the thing...and soon... because before you know it..summer will be over and golf will be out of the picture for at least 6 months.
