I had a few inquiries about how I made my paper beads from this post so I thought I would share this You Tube link which I found to be very helpful. There is a bit of a music clip intro but wait it out because the visual instruction for the beads is worth it. Have fun and, if you do make your own beads, please feel free to post the link to your beads in the Comments section of this post as I would love to see them. Have fun!
I used to make paper beads back in the 70's! When I leave here I'll check out the video and see if it's the same technique. Yours are so pretty....and they're fun to make.
ReplyDeleteWow! They don't look too hard to do and are another way to recycle paper! Awesome! Thanks for sharing!! :)
ReplyDeleteHI Janet....they definitely are fun to make and I will be making more for sure. :)
ReplyDeleteHI Rita...they are easy peasy to make. Just be careful, not to get any glue on the toothpick when you roll the bead, otherwise it will adhere to the toothpick and be impossible to remove. Have a wet kitchen towel handy...I wiped my fingers after rolling each and every bead. :)
I haven't looked at the video yet but will be trying this out for sure...it looks like so much fun! Thanks for sharing this.
ReplyDeleteHi Kate....and yes, do give the paper beads a go. Aaron and I had so much fun making them and I'm sure you will enjoy it too.
