I felt the urge to get back to the Zebra painting yesterday much to Beau's delight. The foreground still has a fair way to go and will not be staying in all those orange tones even though Beau loves it like that.......he LOVES orange! I've at least covered the canvas, apart from the Zebras, which I may actually start work on next so I can get a better idea of where I'm headed colour-wise for the foreground. Decisions....decisions....
The background sunset is FABULOUS Serena! I love orange too . . . it looks like a peaceful scene . . . looking forward to seeing the progress :-)
ReplyDeleteHi Serena,
ReplyDeleteThat is stunning. I cannot wait to see this one finished. How beautiful is that....WOW....I love it. Beau will have to stand in line behind me...lol...Ro
Thanks, Maria! I used to hate all the bright colours like red and orange but now, I love them...so vibrant.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Ro! I'm looking forward to getting it finished too...LOL
this is really going to be lovely when you are done. What is the size of the painting? Is it a picture of you and your son. :) (Mommy zebra and baby? )
ReplyDeleteOh by the way, I like the new photo of you on your blog. You look so happy.

This one is going to be amazing when it's finished. I LOVE the background.
ReplyDeleteWow, this is so lush and rich!
ReplyDeleteA tiny amount of green somewhere would work really well. Can't wait to see this finished!
Thanks, Becky....this one is 30"x24". I'm not really sure why Beau asked for a mother and foal combination....maybe it does signify us both. It's a nice thought for sure. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Suzanne. :)
Thanks, Jessica. :) As much as I would like to add green, Beau has given me his specific preferences and, green is out. I'm enjoying the challenge though and I will try to do more work on it today.
Can't wait to see it finished! Have been enjoying all your latest blog posts too ... :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Mariana! :)
ReplyDeleteThe sunset is spectacular, Serena! I'm like Beau, I love the color orange. I cannot wait to see the next phase! :D
ReplyDeleteThanks, Luci....I'm going to work on it a little more today. The weekend got away from me before I knew it so didn't get any spare time to work on it then.
