my vision-board for 2009

last night, i spent some time creating my vision-board/dream-board for 2009. it was so much fun and even aaron decided to do one. i've never done a vision-board before and i'm so pleased with how it turned out....i LOVE collage! i did do a goals illustration in my sketchbook for 2008 and failed miserably filling those commitments so....for 2009, i decided to make it more inspirational than filled with expectations. if you are interested in seeing more dream/vision boards you can check out suzie's post here. suzie holds a monthly dreamboard participation group which i think is really cool! it's my understanding that they work on different themes each month. i went with the annual vision/dream board though as it suits me better at this time. i feel like change is in the air and this is just what i needed to keep me focused.

aaron had absolutely no help from me at all and i am so impressed with how his turned out. we are hanging it near his bed. i've pinned mine to a cork board that i painted turquoise-blue...love that colour!

P.S. - i've had to postpone tags and awards until tomorrow....stay tuned.

love, light and peace ~

  1. They are both fantastic! Oh I love them! Not to worry that it's for 2009, that totally works with a new year's theme which is a very cool idea. I might borrow that in January if you don't mind?

So much wonderful swirling energy here and health & happiness booming from each collage. Way to go! I wish these things for you and so much more. Thanks for participating, both of you!

  2. Love seeing Aaron's vision for the future. Very cool. The collage I worked on is mine for the coming year and I have plans on making more. I have some ideas to work through first. Hope all of your visions and dreams come true for both of you!

  5. I think both boards turned out very well. Setting up the goals for next year as more inspiration than expectation is also a very good idea. So much more . . . well . . . inspiring (can't think of another word right now).

I am also feeling inspired to do a visual representation of my goals for myself for next year. If Suzie uses it for the January dreamboard I should be able to participate again next month too.

  9. Both boards are inspirational! Wow! Great job! Would love to look at those all year. I had started a kind of altered book once that was a kind of wishbook of things I wanted to bring into my life--yes, dreams, I guess. You were supposed to think of what you'd want if money or current reality were no object--if anything was possible, you know. Guess I should find where I tucked that away. :):):)

  11. What a lovely sight I have in my mind of mother and son sitting doing these together. Very neat.

And I love Aaron's - I hope many many animals come into his life, as I can see he is a man after my own heart with all the animal-love on that board. (I suppose mom just hopes he doesn't try bringing a stray elephant home 'cmon mom, can't we keep him pleeeeease?')

  13. They came out lovely, the both of them!! I had wanted to participate and didn't get to. But I still might go ahead and make one. I really need something to put up in my field of vision to remind me of the good stuff I want in my life. xo Serena Pia

  16. Thanks so much for your wonderful comments.

Suzie, of course you can use the theme for January....go for it!

Rita, that concept is also in the Ask and It is Given by Esther and Jerry Hicks.....it's a great idea for focusing the mind into creating your own reality. Your altered/wish book sounds like an excellent way to do this.

Lisa....YIKES! How on earth am I going to feed an elephant..LOL Aaron definitely love animals and nature...just like his Mum. ;)

Serena Pia, I'll look forward to seeing your inspiration/dream board when you finish it.

    love, light and peace,
    serena

  17. Love your vision boards. They will definitely enhance the vibration of your environment. I had made one beginning this year with my 8 year old daughter too. Today I just made a vision card with the 2008 insights as I am preparing for the retreat I am facilitating.

A wonderful visual of your thoughts and feelings!

  19. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful... While at Summerhill Ranch being certified as a Soul Coach, Denise said that her daughter use to make her own vision boards when she was younger, just like you and Aaron have. Sprinkling fairy dust for all your dreams to be fulfilled. x
