monday's photo of the week
to end my week of coping with the flu, brad, aaron, cody and i decided to go for a drive out to forest lake which is probably a 15 minute drive from where we live. at first, we deliberated on whether to go or not because the weather was a little unsure of what it wanted to do. it would rain one minute and then be sunshine the next. however, the weather was very accommodating for us because it rained on the way there, stopped for the hour or so that we were at the lake and then, it rained on the way home. how lucky was that?! here are some of the pictures taken at the lake. the pictures that i'm in were taken by aaron with his own camera. we all had a lovely and relaxing time and plan to do it more often.

this was how it looked when we first arrived.....the clouds were looking ready to dump more rain but, thankfully, they moved around us and not a drop fell on our walk although it kept changing from sunshine to overcast.
forest lake is manmade and has a bicycle/walking path circuit around the lake
the walk across the bridge is part of the circuit
no swimming, diving or fishing allowed but you can hire these pedal boats and canoes are allowed too
a dragon fountain at one end of the lake
headless ducks
just kidding
i'm running late with my MANTRA MONDAY card this week but will try to have it up late tomorrow
LOVE, LIGHT AND PEACE

ReplyDeleteSo glad you are feeling better. Looks like a wonderful path to walk, but I am amazed that the dirt looks so dry if it had just been raining? The earth must be really sucking up that water--hehe! Thanks for bringing us along. I love visiting Australia!! :):)
ReplyDeleteGreat photos! Looks like an amazing place to walk about... Glad you are feeling better!

Hugs,
Thanks, everyone ~ :)
ReplyDeleteRo, I'd be happy to show you around.
Rita, when it's a case of rain one minute and sunshine the next, it doesn't take long for the harsh Australian sun to dry the surface of the ground. When we first arrived, I was being very careful about Cody walking on the bare dirt areas because I didn't want his paws getting too dirty from the wet soil. lol
Looks like a wonderful place for a walk, loved all the photos.
ReplyDeleteGlad you are better, goodness hate to hear anyone sick. Looks like a wondeful relaxing day and glad the weather held out for you. Love that dragon fountain!
