Triptych finished!

i was on a deadline because michelle wanted mikayla's room all pretty for her house inspection yesterday so, this meant, late nights (after midnight) and early morning starts....5am to be precise! i've been getting up at 4am anyways because reece heads off early and i drop him down at the bus-stop for 4:45am.

here is the finished triptych!
michelle's design which i painted

here it is in place on the wall in mikayla's room

michelle made the large tissue paper pom-poms
aren't they great?!!!

with michelle's creative flair and my painting skills,
i think we make a pretty good team

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

i got a new mobile phone!!
a HTC Wildfire touch screen!
i LOVE it!!!

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

just look at these two...curled up, sleeping peacefully
well, don't let this peaceful scene fool you for a minute because, if someone knocked at the door, they would instantly come to life and act like ferocious guard dogs....OR....if someone were to go into the kitchen, they would instantly come to life, race into the kitchen and watch that person's every move with beseeching eyes, hoping they'd be pitied and given a morsel of food. seriously, you'd think they were never fed! LOL

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

aaron was home sick yesterday and will probably be home again today, poor kid. if he doesn't pick up today, i think it will be a trip to the doctor for him.

today, i plan to rest up a bit after the crazy, busy start to the week.

how has your week been???

~ love, light and peace ~

  1. Oh, Serena!! That is gorgeous!! You two do make a great team. Love the huge paper flowers, too. It ll comes together so well. Mikayla is a lucky little girl. :)

Now, I just hope Aaron gets healthy again!!

I have absolutely fallen in love with the touch screen phone that I finally relented to try--LOL! It's awesome! I hope you just love yours, too.

The dogs--I can just picture them popping right up--hehe! Dogs use their eyes for begging very skillfully, don't they? ;)

I hope you are feeling well, too, Lady? Have a great weekend. *hugs*

  4. What an adorable room...you guys did a fantastic job! Love the triptych and the pompoms!

So sorry to hear that Aaron is still not well. It's always worrying as a mother when things drag on like this. Hope he perks up soon.

Smart phones are just the best fun...I love mine. I especially love having the camera with me all the time. It's so easy to snap pictures and email or text them to friends and family. It's such a great way to keep in touch.

  5. Hi Serena. Oh Mikayla's room looks so beautiful. Pinks and greens is just awesome. Beautiful work. I also like the colors you've added on your blog. Did you read the latest blogger buzz? They won't be supporting if the computers are not up to date with the latest browser. Oh well, changes, changes, changes. Have a great rest of the week and get some rest, you deserve it. You've been working very hard.

  6. You did just a beautiful job. It looks so perfect in the room.

I have been busy painting my weaving studio. It is taking so long to do. I only have the trim left which I will tackle tomorrow. Then I get to move everything back in.

  10. Thanks, Rita! Yes, I LOVES my new phone! Agreed...dogs have those 'pity me' eyes that are hard to say no to. lol

    Thanks, Jane ~ :)

    Thanks, Cheryl ~ :)

Thanks, Kate! Yes, I'm liking the idea of the touch screen phones and how easy it is to take and email images.

Thanks, Gloria. Re. the blogger buzz - We tend to update Firefox when a new version comes out anyways so should be okay. Blogger Buzz stated they will support the latest three versions of each browser so it will give people time to update at least.

Thanks, Kate! WOW, I hope you will post a photo to your blog of your weaving studio.

Thanks, Winterwood! I'm happy to hear we have inspired you ~ :)

Thanks, Darla! I do love making things for sweet, little Mikayla. She is so adorable!

Thanks, Julie! Nope, the cot (crib) is currently set up in Michelle and Alex's room. This room is actually Mikayla's bedroom and its where Michelle changes her and keeps all of Mikayla's things etc. Mikayla will eventually be sleeping in this newly decorated room, however, it's hard to put them in separate rooms when they're so small. When the time comes tho, I think it will be harder on Michelle than Mikayla. lol
