Day 8 - backpack - Blogtoberfest

We had some relief from the heat today.
It was overcast and felt like rain
although we didn't actually get any.
It did cool things down which was great!

It was a bad day for back pain unfortunately.
Mid-torso on both sides of my spine.
Not good. :(

Beau planted sunflower seeds a month or two back
and they are now starting to bud!!
Quite exciting!
They will make great sketch subjects.

Okay, if you haven't already tried this cool 'Scribbler' online site,
you may want to pop on over and have some fun!
When the page opens,
just scribble away!

Here was one I 'scribbled' some time ago

My pen sketch today is of a little back-pack
I specifically bought to carry my sketch supplies.

#8 of 75 pen/ink only sketches

I'm off to have some apple crumble with ice-cream for dessert! YUM!

Have a lovely day/evening!

Excellent Serena! Love the backpack. Hope your back is doing better. Be careful not to get a shot for back pain relief as there is a scare of meningitis that may be associated with back pain shot relief. I'm sure you've heard/read about it. Take care of yourself and have a wonderful week.

I'm loving your sketches and maybe some day I'll build the confidence to go pencil free too. Hope you're having a great week.
Best,
Jenn

Scribbler is so much fun...and I like the small back pack for sketch supplies. Good idea.

How was the desert? I will have to eat some vicariously through you as I am "seriously" trying to ditch some kgs.....

Beautiful sketches, digital and ink!

Sorry about your back pain!! I can totally relate. :(
The sunflowers will be excellent sketching fodder--yes!
I'll have to check out Scribbler. Your cat is so cool!
That's a great little back pack, too. Nice sketch and great addition to your wanderings!! :)
Have a wonderful Wednesday and hope your back is better tomorrow.

Thanks, Gloria....it usually takes two to three days for my back to recover after I've overdone it on a task. I suffer with daily back pain normally...some days are just worse than others. No, I hadn't heard about the meningitis scare from the shots for back pain relief. Thanks for the heads up. xo

Thanks, Jennifer. I savoured every mouthful of dessert. :)

Thanks, Jenn...I'm sure you would enjoy the pen-only sketching. The only scary part is touching the pen to the blank page. It gets much easier after that. OH, and you have to throw perfectionism out the window too. :)

Thanks, Janet. Enjoy Scribbler ~ xo

Thanks, Cindy. I shouldn't be eating desserts either but I only spoil myself now and again. :)

Back is still sore today. :(
Hope to be sketching sunflowers very soon.
I'm sure you will enjoy Scribbler.
Thanks for the compliment on the back-pack. It's just the perfect size.
Have a wonderful week ~ xo
