I've had a lovely, relaxing day after a late night.
Reece left around 9am this morning.
It was so nice to see him again.
I am still in the process of weaving in all the loose ties
of the crochet blanket I made for my new granddaughter.
Today, is Michelle's due date but still no news.
I will be babysitting Mikayla when Michelle and Alex go to hospital.
I can hardly wait!!!
I can hardly wait!!!
It's been a rainy day but it's much needed so you won't hear me complain
unless it decides to hang around for more than three days. lol
I decided to sketch another sunflower today.
This will be the fourth sunflower I've sketched for the challenge,
all at different stages or perspective.
I figure I should take advantage while they're still flowering.
#41 of 75 pen/ink sketches
Pencil-free sketch in A6 pocket Moleskine sketchbook
using ZIG Millennium and PITT pens.
I hope you're enjoying a beautiful and relaxing weekend.

very nice sketch mum! xo
ReplyDeleteI love your sunflower sketches! We are having unusually warm weather this weekend. I do wish for a bit of snow. It makes snuggling up in the Lair to create so much easier than sunny and warm. :)
ReplyDeleteSunflowers are one of my favs, so I'm enjoying these studies! I so admire those of you who sketch with no pencil (or eraser!)--I've recently tried a couple of times, and was scared all the way. Maybe I should add that to my AEDM list ;)
ReplyDeleteI like sunflowers and your sketches are great.
ReplyDeletePS - my son's birthday is Monday the 12th...maybe it will be your new grand baby's, too.
the sunflower makes a great object to draw in its different stages, makes interesting sketches :D
ReplyDeleteAnother beautiful drawing, Serena! What a treasure of a sketchbook this must be!
ReplyDeleteSerena, your illustration talent never ceases to amaze me... i just LOVE your lines and the detail you include in your drawings. Just beautiful. And your writing is so gorgeous...
ReplyDeleteI hope you've been well. So nice to catch up with you here. xox
Congratulations on your grand daughter on the way! How exciting!
ReplyDeleteLove your drawings.
Great sunflower sketch! They are such happy flowers--like daisies. ;)
ReplyDeleteCan hardly wait for news on the baby front. :)
very nice sketch mum! xo
ReplyDeleteI am crossing fingers and toes that the baby comes soon... it will be so wonderful to have another grandchild to spoil...xx
