Day 10 - AEDM & Nablopomo - Another sunflower

I've had a lovely, relaxing day after a late night.
Reece left around 9am this morning.
It was so nice to see him again.

I am still in the process of weaving in all the loose ties
of the crochet blanket I made for my new granddaughter.
Today, is Michelle's due date but still no news.
I will be babysitting Mikayla when Michelle and Alex go to hospital.
I can hardly wait!!!

It's been a rainy day but it's much needed so you won't hear me complain
unless it decides to hang around for more than three days. lol

I decided to sketch another sunflower today.
This will be the fourth sunflower I've sketched for the challenge,
all at different stages or perspective.
I figure I should take advantage while they're still flowering.

#41 of 75 pen/ink sketches

Pencil-free sketch in A6 pocket Moleskine sketchbook
using ZIG Millennium and PITT pens.

  1. I love your sunflower sketches! We are having unusually warm weather this weekend. I do wish for a bit of snow. It makes snuggling up in the Lair to create so much easier than sunny and warm. :)

  2. Sunflowers are one of my favs, so I'm enjoying these studies! I so admire those of you who sketch with no pencil (or eraser!)--I've recently tried a couple of times, and was scared all the way. Maybe I should add that to my AEDM list ;)

PS - my son's birthday is Monday the 12th...maybe it will be your new grand baby's, too.
