thanks for all the well wishes regarding my migraine yesterday.
it left me feeling a little cloudy-headed today but it's all good.
one of my readers has been having an intermittent problem accessing my blog. she will sometimes get a message saying "this blog does not exist" and i was wondering if anyone else has had this experience with my blog? my daughter was telling me today that, while it hasn't happened with my blog, it has happened recently with another blog she visits. hopefully, it's just a temporary blogger glitch because i'm totally stumped.
today i was back at michelle's so we could finish off the triptych revamp.

again, i got to spend quality time with beautiful, little mikayla.
grandchildren are so special!
i played with another mandala this morning. at the moment we are just working on creating designs and we will then be colouring and detailing them over the next couple of weeks.

for a few weeks now, we've been getting regular visits from a family of magpies.
i love birds!
the babies are the brown colour and they are just about the same size as their parents. the funny thing is that they will stand beside their parent squawking like crazy until the parent picks up the food we have thrown out and feeds it straight into their mouth. i don't get why the baby just doesn't bend over and pick up it's own food....too funny!
i'll be at home all day tomorrow so will hopefully be spending more time in the studio.
until then

Magpies are so gorgeous to watch, but not as much as your grand baby girl, I'm sure!
ReplyDeleteWow that triptych is a wonderful gift to your granddaughter! And I can't wait to see what the mandala turns out like. Glad to know you are feeling better.
ReplyDeletePS I have never had any issues trying to view your blog. Sorry you have been having problems.
ReplyDeleteYour granddaughter's room is lovely, and your triptych makes it all the more beautiful! We don't have magpies in Minnesota, but I remember seeing them when I was in the SW United States many years ago. Interesting birds to watch.
ReplyDeleteLove the photos Serena and the artwork is stunning! I have missed visiting you the last few weeks as I was swamped getting ready for a craft show, hopefully I can get back on track for the holidays.....Big hug!
ReplyDeleteTina xo
I haven't had any problems accessing your blog, but I had seen that on a couple other blogs within the last couple weeks. But if I waited and went back they opened up? No clue. Just computer craziness.
ReplyDeleteLove the re-do of the triptych! Glad you got to spend more time with Mikayla and Michelle. You must miss not going shopping with them every week anymore. I know I would. :)
We don't have Magpies in Minnesota or North Dakota or Wisconsin (only states I've lived) so I have never seen one. They have a striking appearance and--I have heard before--a lot of personality. I love birds, too! Thanks for the pics. Baby birds are funny!
I'm glad your headache is gone. At least I hope it is. Take care of yourself, my friend. Love and hugs!!
Such a pretty room... love all that bright pink! The bird triptych is very sweet and makes a fun, bold focal for space. Great shape the mandala is taking...there are so meditative to create. We have magpies here. Last year we had a nest of magpie babies in our big lilac shrub--fun to keep watch on. :o) ((Love & Light))
ReplyDeleteNo, I haven't had any issues like that. Although, I have had some errors when trying to comment; a lot less since your tip about making sure Blogger didn't keep me signed in though, so thanks for that!
ReplyDeleteGlad the head situation is a bit better today; at least the pain is gone... You can deal with brain fog if there's no pain!
I love birds too!
The triptych goes so beautifully in your granddaughter's room.
ReplyDeleteI love where you're going with that mandala. It looks so intricate but calming. I can't wait to get give it a try.
Your mandala design is great! I won't be able to watch the videos until later today but I'm excited about this class. (I love details)
ReplyDeleteLove the triptych in Mikala's room. She's such a lucky girl to have you as her grandmother.
I thought the photo of the room was from a magazine!!! What a gorgeous room. The triptych is fabulous.
ReplyDeleteSo much inspiration today!!
xo

Love, love, love this room!!--so welcoming and perfect for you sweet little granddaughter.
ReplyDeleteAnd I don't think I've ever seen magpies around here--how sweet is that! (the parents feeding them :)
P.S. I haven't had any problems accessing your blog.
What a pretty room and the magpie photos are so sweet, love them!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad that you're feeling better and your migraine has abated Serena. And I really like the changes you've made to the triptych...I thought it looked good before but the changes have given it a real punch!
ReplyDeleteWe don't get magpies around here so although I've heard and read lots about them, I've never actually seen one. I love birds too and their social interaction with each other always amazes me.
I've had that happen once with another blogger blog--it was several months ago, though, and no problems at all accessing yours! Funny story about the baby magpies :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, happy triptych!! What a lovely room! And I do love the mandala you're working on.
ReplyDeleteGlad you are feeling better and that the triptich is coming along... more fun playing with Mikayla I am sure xx
ReplyDeleteLove the finished triptych.
ReplyDeleteMagpies are fantastic. Most people don't like them, but they're so fantastically coloured and full of character :)
Your blog did go missing on me a few days ago, hence the "Welcome back" comment.
The finish triptych is so lovely. And about the blog issue, sometimes when someone posts something they didn't actually mean to (instead of waiting until the next day or whatever) and they remove it, I get that message in Reader.
ReplyDeleteAs soon as the post is again published, it shows up as usual.
I haven't experienced it with your blog but I have had it a couple of times over the last couple of weeks saying something similar to this - probably another wonderful blogger improvement lol The canvas' look fantastic, suit the room perfectly. Hope you're in fine health by tomorrow x
ReplyDeleteYour granddaughter's room is beautiful. How wonderful to be able to create something that she can treasure forever. I am looking forward to watching what you do with the Mandala. That is something I have never done. I am still loving my Inktense pencils.
ReplyDeleteYour triptych looks wonderful on the wall. What a great room for your grandbaby who now walks. Wow! Sorry about your headache, glad you are a little better. I'm still dizzy but doing exercises with my head, up/down/side to side and taking my dizzy pills and bp pills. I'm a wee bit better, not much and am still going to see a neurologist. Take care and be well.
ReplyDeletei love your triptych!! Beautiful simple lines & colours.
ReplyDeleteI'm also very fond of mandalas.
Thank you for commenting on my blog... Wishing you "migraine-free playtime in your studio" soon! xoxo
Hi Serena! I've been meaning to make my way over and say hi and thanks for visiting "today I created..."
ReplyDeleteI love the triptych you did for your granddaughter- such a perfect fit for the room!
Good luck with the rest of AEDM and happy creating!
Ohhhh...Mikayla's room is absolutely the cutest, most adorable room I've ever seen!!! SOOO sweet! The triptych came out perfectly!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful finishing touch to such an adorable room! Glad to hear you're feeling better! Happy Creating!
ReplyDeleteThe triptych is gorgeous...what a beautiful color green. I would be quite happy waking up to that every morning:)
ReplyDeleteJulie
Your grand daughter's room is so sweet - bright and cheerful, too! Wonderful designs. I look forward to seeing them with color and detail.
ReplyDeleteThe triptych is just lovely! She is a lucky little lady! While my husband was in Australia on business a few months ago, he took a video of a magpie which I shared with my first grade students. Their call is so distinctive. The students loved it!
ReplyDeleteHi Serena,
ReplyDeleteNo problems here with visiting you!
How sweet Mikayla's room is with all the pretty pinks AND you get to paint and play with her.
Ah, Bliss!
Great Mandala, I need to practice more and learn to be neat. lol
Creative hugs,
Anna
I just love the colours in Mikayla's room and the triptych goes perfectly.
ReplyDeleteWe have a lot of magpies that have been around us for a while now; very cheeky too, they tease my little dog mercilessly. Funny about the babies not feeding themselves, maybe they have been watching our current generation of kids for too long haha
Lee:)
