Day 5 - AEDM & Nablopomo - mandala in progress

another frustrating day of procrastination!

in the end, i settled on creating a mandala which is obviously not finished yet.

the mandala is 8" diam.

i've always enjoyed creating mandalas and, days ago, when i saw a FREE mandala course was being offered via willowing's ning site, i immediately signed up for it. the course starts on november 14th so, if you're interested, you can sign up here.

(ADDITION - so sorry, everyone!  rita just brought it to my attention that you need to sign up before you can actually view the mandala class link.  the sign up is to willowing's (tamara laporte) NING site where you will find lots of goodies and a supportive art community.  once you register to willowing's art community, you should THEN be able to access the FREE mandala class link provided above)

  3. Hi Serena.
Your mandala is very pretty. That is something I have not tried to do yet. Thanks for your comment; tea bags have many uses and I often use them for staining.

  5. Your mandala is so perfect. How do you do that? I am sure it is gonna be just beautiful when you add color. That bottle brush sure is amazing how it unfolds from the bud. Hope you had a great day. It's a very gray day here. A bit of sprinkly rain. We are heading to Sri Lanka early in the morning so won't be around for the next week. Take care! Tammy

Awesoem mandala. Is that the class by Guadalupe? She is an Argentinian that´s going to be a teacher at the Life Book classes.

  17. You have the most striking, exotic plants down there! Wow!

It won't let you look at anything without signing up on that link. Does the mandala course cost anything? Just curious. If it does, no point in me signing up. Broke already this month--LOL!

Your mandala is graceful--bold, yet delicate. Can hardly wait to see what you do with it. Hugs! :):)

  19. Those photographs of the bottlebrush are stunning. I just returned to Europe from 4 years in Australia and you've reminded me how stunning some of the plantlife there is. And the mandala is fab - looking forward to seeing the final results.

  23. OMGosh!! that is amazing! It really does look like a bottle brush. Does it feel like one LOL I would go camera crazy if I were there!

I love your mandela. I was actually thinking of trying one the other day. I have a coffee can that my son emptied and I was thinking about using it to trace. I never did but I still can. I'm going to check out that link. I love taking classes and if it's free that means I can. I am broke. I really wanted to take a suzi blu class and can't afford it right now :O(

Can't wait to see your mandela in color!
